In 1985, Reds player/manager Pete Rose was on his second stint in Cincinnati and was vying for baseball's all-time hits record (the seemingly insurmountable total of 4,191 held by Ty Cobb). This full-sized pennant comes from the tail end of Rose's ultimately successful chase of the hits record, a record Rose still holds. "Go for it Pete! 4192 hits Ty-Breaker," it reads. It also features a silhouetted rendition of Rose, or "Charlie Hustle" on it. A1565
