1985-86 Ellis Burks New Britain Red Sox Game Worn Road Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Boston Red Sox road jersey which was handed down to their Eastern League affiliate New Britain affiliate where it was donned by outfielder Ellis Burks circa 1985-86. Wilson size 40 tag sewn in collar along with "Burks" written in thick black marker and a piece of tape reading "New Britain". "Red Sox" is sewn to the front of the jersey in navy tackle twill while number 12 is sewn to the revere in the same style. Given major league clubs practice of sending previous seasons jerseys down for use with minor league affiliates during subsequent seasons this jersey was likely originally issued to and worn by Steve Lyons.
