Offered is a Pawtucket Red Sox home jersey which was donned by seven time Cy Young award winner Roger Clemens during his brief tenure with the Boston Red Sox International League affiliate in 1984 prior to being called up to the parent organization. Wilson size 42 tag sewn in the collar while "Red Sox" and uniform number 21 are sewn to the white knit jersey in red on navy double tackle twill. Clemens has also signed the front of the jersey in blue marker along with a "Rocket" inscription. A signed letter on Pawtucket Red Sox letterhead will attend to verify the authenticity of the jersey while MLB hologram MT 00178543 is affixed to the jersey to authenticate the signature. Regarding the Pawtucket provenance, this particular jersey was originally obtained by a resident of the Pawtucket area, directly from the Pawtucket club in 1986. As a matter of fact, his relationship with team management enabled him to buy it directly out of the locker room! The letter is typed on Pawtucket Red Sox letterhead, from Mick Tedesco—who is currently the Vice President of Stadium Operations—attesting to its provenance. Moderate use shown. (71Y0214)
