Ron Hallstrom was a hulking figure who registered in at a svelte 6-6, 300 pounds. By today's standards that is small. But in 1982, Hallstrom was considered a mountain of a man.

We have to report, this jersey was well-worn by Hallstrom and subsequently worn by a family member of our consignor's. Heavy cracking/chipping has experienced on the numbers and sleeve striping because of heavy wash wear. At least seven repairs are captured on the durene pullover.

It is our guess this was the largest Packers jersey made in the 1980s, a whopping size "56". Eyelet holes are built into the underarms for a tighter feel.

A size "56" tag is administered in the collar. The following tags are revealed in the tail: Packers exclusivity, Medalist Sand Knit and size. "HALLSTROM" is applied to a nameplate on back.

We estimate the vintage between 1984-85 because of the Sand Knit tag and Packer "G" sleeve striping.

While this is a flawed specimen, Hallstrom did put great use into it.

Employed by the Green Bay Packers from 1984-2000, Scott Waters had on field access for each game, and mingled along the sidelines with the players. Several candid photos document his presence on the field. This lot originated directly from the Scott Waters collection. Detailed LOA’s personally signed by Scott Waters will be included with each item from his collection. Letters of authenticity: Scott Waters & MEARS / Troy Kinunen
