Somehow, a 5-3-1 regular season record was enough to get the 1982 NFC Central Division champion Green Bay Packers into the playoffs. There, in the Wild Card round, the Bart Starr-coached team faced the 5-4 St. Louis Cardinals. Four Lynn Dickey touchdowns, 148 John Jefferson receiving yards, and 41 Packers points later, the Lambeau Field goal posts were being torn down and Green Bay was advancing to the next round.

This 1.5" long, 4" diameter piece of painted piping is a piece of one such goal post. Colored bright yellow (with only a few chips and scratches), it also includes the date and the game's 41-16 final score.
