1981-90 circa Muhammad Ali 3 Time World Heavyweight Champion Signed Everlast Exhibition / Appearance Robe (MEARS LOA/JSA)

Offered is a black velvet Everlast robe with "Muhammad Ali 3 Time World Heavyweight Champion" sewn to the reverse in white tackle twill. Robe is hooded with white satin accents at the sleeve ends, collar and pockets while the interior is lined with a white towel like material. Lot Size 44 tag sewn in collar with number 15 handwritten on the reverse. Ali has also signed the front of the robe in gold marker. Style of robe dates to possible late 1981 issuance throughout the 1990 era. Although Ali was most often associated with a white terry cloth robe, the heavy quality of this robe indicates it was manufactured for exhibitions, training or appearances. (82J0246)
