1980s Fernando Valenzuela Los Angeles Dodgers Game Worn Signed Cleats - JSA & MEARS Auction LOA

Fernandomania swept through Los Angeles in the early '80s and changed the sports culture in the process.

Little known Fernando Valenzuela burst onto the scene in 1981 and won the NL Rookie of the Year and Cy Young Award. These cleats were worn by Fernando when he was striking out the opposition and grabbing our hearts.

Outstanding season-long wear is evident on the Puma cleats with dirt remnants still saturated on the bottoms. "34" is written on the heel in black maker. The inside white paint has chipped away noticeably.

The right shoe is signed by Valenzuela in black felt tip. We have inserted a Getty Images photo (83421698) which shows Fernando wearing this style of shoe as well.
