1978, 1984-86 "Possible Gift / Prototype" Pete Rose Cincinnati Reds Signed Mizuno Road Uniform (MEARS LOA/JSA)

Offered is a Cincinnati Reds road uniform produced for All Time Hit King Pete Rose. Although the exact reason of issuance is unknown, this rare, high quality Mizuno offering may have been a prototype or a salesman sample for Pete Rose to wear. It is documented that Rose wore a Mizuno fielding glove, batting gloves, and batting helmet. Mizuno World Win tag is sewn to the tail while "Cincinnati", number 14 & "Rose" are all sewn to the grey knit pullover in single red tackle twill. Also accompanying are the matching uniform pants which also feature a Mizuno World Win manufacturer's tag. Both elements have been signed by Rose in blue marker with a "Hit King 4256 inscription and TriStar holograms to ensure the authenticity of the autographs. Pete Rose originally signed an endorsement contract with Mizuno during a tour of Japan following the 1978 season. We believe this uniform was either produced for Rose at that time or during the final three years of his career with the Reds circa 1984-86. (73A0355)
