Offered for sale is a circa 1978-79 Louisville Slugger game used bat. Model C243 is factory stamped on the barrel. Bat measures 33.5 “ and currently weighs 32 ounces. Examination reveals bat manufactured with a regular sized knob, standard finish, round barrel, and produced from professional grade ash. Bat is consistent with major league bat specifications. Use is deemed medium. Ball marks are found on front, and above and below the barrel facsimile stampings. Red rack marks can be found on the barrel end. An additional black rack mark is found left of the centerbrand. There is a light, even application of pinetar on the handle. Handle remains uncracked. Correll’s documented uniform #9, issued while with the Reds, appears on the handle. For Cincy collectors, this bat might be the only surviving example. Only & highest example graded by MEARS.
