As an 18 year rookie shortstop, Robin Yount joined the Brewers in 1974. He was instantly a fan favorite, and the Brew City watched their adopted son grow up. Like most children, he endured some growing pains, but by the 1976 season, Robin showed his maturity and there was no mistake he was a quality, major league player.

1976 was very special for the city of Milwaukee, as Hank Aaron ended his major league career with the Brewers. This shirt would have been on the field for some of Hank Aaron’s very last days, and may have even been a personal witness to Hank Aaron’s final homerun #755, which he hit on July 20th, 1976 off Dick Drago at County Stadium.

This shirt is rock solid and originated in the Milwaukee area. The Sand Knit tagging, size 40 and set tag, Yount, 76, 40 are all correct for the era. The shirt has no alterations and is 100% original. Showing excellent game wear, a finer example doesn’t exist. MEARS has evaluated and graded this shirt and assigned it the final grade of a MEARS A10. (84L0163)
