Offered is a Spalding Official American League Lee MacPhail baseball which was used during the California Angels 4-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins on September 28, 1974 at Anaheim Stadium during which Angels hurler Nolan Ryan recorded the third of his seven career no hitters. "3rd No Hitter 9/28/74" handwritten on side panel while Ryan has also signed the baseball in black marker. Brandon Grunbaum's OAL baseball guide lists AJ Reach as the official supplier of American League baseballs for the 1974 season, though we found an image of Ryan taken in the locker room after the game and he is clearly holding up a Spalding manufactured baseball. *Photo not included in auction, provided for reference only.* (84L0610)
