1974-75 Hawaiians World Football League WFL #39 Game Jersey (MEARS LOA)

While the WFL never quite put the fear of god into the NFL, or even scare them like the AFL did, it did give the senior league an influx of talent once it disbanded after two years.

This size "L 42-44" jersey was made for #39 of the Hawaiians circa 1974-75. We checked the rosters and Steve Haggerty donned the number for year one of the Hawaiians. The mesh pullover shows no real game use and there are no remnants of where a nameplate once stood.

Sewn in the tail is a World Football League Sand Knit exclusivity tag and "Size Large (42-44)" label which matches known exemplars.
