Even though Jim Bouton didn't seem to be too big of fan of his managerial style with the Seattle Pilots in the pages of Ball Four, Joe Schultz got another crack at skipper in 1973 as the interim manager of the Tigers. He went 14-14 in 28 games. During that '73 coaching stint, Schultz used this H&B Louisville Slugger bat.
Hailing from the 1973-75 label era, the signature model bat has the model number K100 on its knob. The inordinately light bat weighs a mere 24 ounces and measures 36 inches. Odd as the weight is, it matches Schultz's specifications. It shows moderate use and displays rack marks.
Final Grade: MEARS A7. 5 points for matching records and 2 points for medium use.
