The match that ended up convincing former World Champion Floyd Patterson to retire, was the event that took place Sept. 20, 1972 when he took on Muhammad Ali for the second time in his career. That Madison Square Garden match could be viewed via closed circuit TV everywhere, including this "Chinese Theatre," which promoted the event on this original 13 3/4" by 22" broadside. Original close circuit poster which the process of decoupage has been applied. Very popular pastime of the 1970s. Poster retains its vibrant original colors. The piece is in overall EX condition, with minor cracking on the edges and some water wear on the back.
