Lot #239:

1972 Circa Muhammad Ali Signed 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" Original Photo w/Large Signature on Back - JSA

Taken back in the early 1970s is this original 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" photo of Muhammad Ali outside of his training facility in Deer Lake, PA.

A weary Ali is walking as a contingency of followers join him. Pasted to the back of the image is an original Polaroid Land Photography order form. Because "4/72" is situated on the reverse we assume this was taken in the early '70s.

What makes this offering stand out is a ravishing black ballpoint signature on back - a definite career penning. The signature is placed perfectly in the middle and reminds of us of a time when Ali ruled the sports landscape.
