As the story goes, in 1972 Chi-Foursome created gorgeous 11" x 14" textured cardboard offerings of the popular Windy City baseball players. Eight players from the Cubs and seven from the White Sox made up a complete set. Offered are 10 complete sets of this tough regional issue.
These were to be released for sale at local gas stations and grocery stores but never made it that far. They were sold at baseball games in town though.
Featured from the Cubbies are: Ernie Banks, Glenn Beckert, Fergie Jenkins, Don Kessinger, Milt Pappas, Joe Pepitone, Ron Santo and Billy Williams.
White Sox players include: Mike Andrews, Ed Herrmann, Pat Kelly, Carlos May, Bill Melton, Chuck Tanner and Wilbur Wood.
