1969-73 Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates "Seattle Times Archives" Original Photos (ST Archives Hologram/MEARS LOA) - Lot of 3

This lot of 3 photos features star Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Roberto Clemente near the end of his career and life. Also pictured with Clemente in this lot are Willie Stargell and Matty Alou. Measurements range from 8" x 8" to 8" x 10". Photos contain various combinations of handwritten notations, affixed cutlines and photographer & date stamps on their reverse. The Seattle Times originated as the Seattle Press-Times, a four page newspaper founded in 1891 with a daily circulation of 3,500, which Maine teacher and attorney Alden J. Blethen bought in 1896. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
