Gentleman Jim Hickman spent 13 seasons in the majors with the New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals. The 1970 All-Star used this 33-ounce, 34 1/2-inch H&B Louisville Slugger bat around that period (1969-72).
The signature model ash bat has the model number M110 on its knob. It matches Hickman's personal factory records and exhibits signs of heavy use, medium ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, cleat marks, grain swelling and deadwood on the barrel's reverse side. Hickman's Cubs number 28 appears (faded) on the knob of the bat.
Grade (MEARS A9): 5 points for matching known player/factory records, 3 points for heavy use, 1 point for documented uniform number on the knob.
