Don Horn is footnote in the long and glorious Packers history. While he served predominately as a backup with the Packers, he did answer the bell when called upon.
It was Horn who threw for five touchdowns in Green Bay's season finale in 1969. To date only Cecil Isbell, Bart Starr, Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn can make such a claim as Titletown gridders. Rodgers and Flynn both entered that rarefied air in 2011.
This size "46" jacket was worn by Horn when he readied himself for competition or stood on the sidelines during those bitter late season games. Constructed out of a heavy wool material, this 1/4 zip-up garment shows decent overall use with no moth holes or other imperfections to speak of. "PACKERS" is expressed across the reverse in single-color mustard yellow tackle twill with "13" visible in the tail.
Yellow/green/white/green/yellow ribbed material encircles the neckline, sleeve ends and tail for a healthy dose of aesthetics. A period Sand Knit label resides in the collar with a white swatch with "13" written in vintage marker. The original zipper is still fully functional. This jacket was originally sourced from a friend of the Packers equipment manager.
