The Houston Colt 45s had a sense of style like few others during their existence. Their smokin' pistols emblem is reproduced and sold to this day.
From 1964 is this flannel jersey worn by Hal Woodeshick. We must reveal that the front, verso numbers and Texas patch are all redone.
A number change was made at some point. The first number appears to be "3" but we cannot make out the second digit.
Applied in the collar is a swatch which reads "44 46 64" and denotes size/player number/year. A lone Spalding manufacturer's tag is sewn in the tail, and the inner tail contains a washing instructions label and "Set 1 1964" flag tag. "MAJ" is written on both sides of the front tail in black marker. Our guess was that the jersey was sent down for some minor league seasoning, hence the number change.
