1964 Elmira Pioneers Game Worn Flannel Jersey With 100 Years Patch - Baltimore Orioles Affiliate - (MEARS Auction LOA )

The Elmira Pioneers have a long and glorious history in the city. What makes this 1964 Pioneers flannel jersey noteworthy is the Elmira 100 years patch affixed on the left sleeve. The team didn't disappoint on the field either as it won the league championship.

Beginning in '62, Elmira became one of Baltimore's affiliates. Worn in '64 was this jersey. A washed out Spalding manufacturer's label is sewn into the collar as is an undecipherable label (size?) and fabric content tag.

Noted players on this team include Paul Blair, Tom Matchick and Andy Etchebarren.

The identifiers appear original. There is a team repair on front between the third and fourth buttons. The second button from top is not present.
