Donn ordered this model for the 1963 season when he was with the Pirates for his 3rd season. He was picked up mid season 1969 from the Expos by the Mets and the rest is history. Donn was offered contracts from the Cleveland Browns and the Globetrotters but chose the Pirates where he hit for .302 his rookie season with them. He joined the Mets in June of 1969, his hitting driving them to the pennant. He hit home runs in games 2, 4 and 5 of the series, which meant the difference in all three games and he took home the series MVP. A key bat for the Mets or Pirates collector.
