1963-65 Al Moran New York Mets Game Worn Home Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a New York Mets home jersey dating to Al Moran's tenure with the team circa 1963-64. Spalding tag sewn to tail with a strip reading "42 63 35" sewn in the collar while "Mets" and number 40 are also sewn to the blue pinstriped white flannel jersey. Outline of removed patch visible on left sleeve while the addition of a front numeral indicates the jersey was carried over at least into the 1965 season following its original issue in 1963. Jersey may have also undergone a team instituted number change as supplemental tagging indicates it was originally issued as number 35. Moderate to heavy wear shown. (96X0311)
