Innovator and funnyman Bill Veeck tells his baseball life story in this hardcover Veeck as in wreck book.

This book is signed on an inside page by the Hall of Fame owner in blue ballpoint. The dust jacket shows wear and has a few slight tears. A broken strip seal reads: "Autographed by the Author Kroch's & Brentano's". Could this be the first form of authentication?
