Offered is a professional model 194VP Gene Freese game used Adirondack bat used by Willie Stargell. With only Stargell’s uniform number 8 written in period marker on the knob, game use can be attributed to Willie Stargell. Freese was with the team in 1964-65 and wore #12. Per our records, Stargell used the 194VP in the 1965 All Star game, with Adirondack presenting him his own model bearing his name. At some point, the 194VP became a Stargell model. Willie Stargell was written on the handle in period ink by the lucky recipient who received the bat in the late 1960s. Bat currently measures 35", weighs 34.5 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks and a pair of glued cracks on the handle and knob. Final Grade (MEARS A6): Minus 2 points for condition issues/2 player use. . (82J0163)
