Offered is an AJ Reach Official American League Joe Cronin baseball which was used during the New York Yankees 8-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on September 23, 1961 at Fenway Park. Hall of Fame Yankees hurler Whitey Ford, who started the game and picked up the 25th & final victory of his 1961 Cy Young season, has signed the ball along with a "Win #25 9-23-61" inscription while "Ball used on September 23, 1961 by Whitey Ford for season Win #25 at Fenway Park Yankees 8 Red Sox 3" is handwritten on an adjacent side panel.
