While every baseball season is celebrated in New York, a few have stood the test of time. For city dwellers, the summer of '61 is among the most cherished as Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris had fans on the edge of their seats as the M&M Boys chased down Babe Ruth's single season home run record.
This scorecard was purchased and scored during the Yankees July 1 tilt with Washington. Mantle smacked two home runs while Maris clubbed one round-tripper. The Yankees held off the Senators 7-6.
This scored publication is EX/MT with light corner/age wear.
