Lot #211:

1961-67 Roger Maris Adirondack Professional Model Team Index Bat (MEARS Authentic)

Best known for his long-standing record 61 home run season in 1961, Roger Maris will forever be immortalized beside the likes of DiMaggio, Mantle, Gehrig, Ruth and the countless other greats who played a part in forging the Bronx-based franchise into one of professional sports' greatest dynasties.

This Adirondack northern white ash bat is emblazoned with Maris' name in block lettering on the barrel and factory record matching model number 307C on the knob. The 35.5 ounce, 35 inch stick exhibits heavy use, including deadwood on the reverse and a 14 inch handle crack with separation.
