Lot #349:

1960s Roberto Clemente Pittsburgh Pirates Signed 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" Photo - JSA

Roberto Clemente was very gracious to his fans. He signed autographs when he could. Of course, there was no way for Clemente to keep up with the amount of fans who followed him.

This 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" promotional photo is signed by Clemente in perfect blue ballpoint. He even offered his "Best Wishes".

Of the modern 3,000 hit club members, the autograph of Clemente is by far the toughest to secure. This unpersonalized exemplar will sit high atop the mantle of even the most discriminating collection.
