Ray Nitschke was one of Vince Lombardi's prized pupils. And really, why wouldn't he be? The Hall of Fame linebacker played with a ferocious approach and was the heart and soul of Green Bay's indomitable defense.

Offered is a check made out to Nitschke and signed by Lombardi and team president Dominic Olejniczak.

We must report the check has endured moderate water saturation. Each of the signatures is affected by the water. Nitschke's endorsement on the reverse is relatively clean.
