Several years ago MEARS President Troy R Kinunen purchased a collection of game used baseballs which were retrieved by Milwaukee Police Officer Wobszal who worked part time as a security guard at Milwaukee County Stadium. The ball originated from Lois Wobszal, daughter of the Police Officer. Mike Roddell, the president of the longest running card show, Wisconsin Sports Collectors Association, purchased the baseballs from Lois and brokered the deal to Troy R Kinunen.

While on duty, Officer Wobszal gathered game used baseballs which were hit into the stands or parking lot. Each balls was retrieved, and a notation was added to the box in Wobszal’s own hand writing.

This ball was noted, 1960, Joe Adcock vs. Cinn on duty. After purchasing the ball, Kinunen had it personally signed by Hank Aaron at a Steiner private signing.

Official Warren Giles National League Baseball, heavy use. Near mint blue ball point ink signature of Aaron.
