Each Olympics Team USA strives for the gold in basketball. For decades on end, the United States dominated the sport of basketball. From 1936, our first year of involvement in Olympic basketball, until 1972, the team won gold. And we all know the story of the '72 Team USA squad.
Some of the finest collections of basketball talent have been on display at the Olympics. The labeling period used on this Wilson shooting garment dates to 1959-69. This ensemble was used in either 1960 or '64.
The '60 squad featured the likes of Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Walt Bellamy, Jerry Lucas and Bob Boozer. In '64 the following men comprised the team: Bill Bradley, Larry Brown and Walt Hazzard.
