1959 Harmon Killebrew Washington Senators "Boston Herald Collection Archives" Original 8 1/4" x 4 1/4" Photo (BH Hologram/MEARS LOA)

Harmon Killebrew has his two biggest fans (his mom and wife) on this original 8 1/4" x 4 1/4". Some staining on front. The following appear on back: "Jun 12 1959" date stamp, newspaper caption affixed and Boston Herald Archives hologram.

The original Boston Herald was founded in 1846 by a group of Boston printers jointly under the name of John A. French & Company. The paper was published as a single two-sided sheet, selling for one cent. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
