For the first time in baseball history, the All Star Game was played out west in 1959. The Dodgers bolted for L.A. on a year earlier and hosted the second of the two All-Star Games in '59. In '59 and '62, baseball experienced with two All-Star games, one used to help player's pensions.

The needle post on this Los Angeles pin is shaved down, and a metal fastener/loop was added at some point.

"Balfour" is engraved on back.
