1958 Ty Cobb Detroit Tigers Signed Check Made Out to Cash - JSA Full Letter

By the time Ty Cobb died, he had accumulated a fortune. He played the stock market well, and unlike many of his baseball counterparts, was well off. But from time to time, even the Georgia Peach needed a little spending cash.

This check was made to "Cash" and written in Cobb's steady hand. Cobb signed his full name "Tyrus R. Cobb" in blue ballpoint. It is worth noting that the majority of Cobb's signed checks are scripted in green ink. Cobb consistently used green ink as his writing instrument of choice.

There are check holes but they do not approach the Cobb penning. Overall one of the finest Cobb checks we have seen.
