1958 Detroit Tigers Unidentified Game Worn Cap (MEARS LOA)

Classic style, this 6 panel, 7 stitch full brim, features a white embroidered gothic “D” and navy crown button. Inside leather band contains the Tim McAuliffe tag (1946-56) and the Pro KM stamp, introduced in the 1954. We attribute this cap to circa 1958 due to the white “D”, which was again used as the team’s design choice. The early version McAuliffe tag was indicative of carry over cap stock. Very good condition with some staining to the bill, crack in the bill, and light damage to the leather band. Displays very good to excellent. (N0563)
