1956 Tommy Byrne New York Yankees Game Worn Road Jersey (MEARS A6) World Series Season

Offered is a New York Yankees road jersey dating to Tommy Byrne's 1956 season with the World Series Champions. Wilson size 42 tag sewn to tail along with laundry instructions while a swatch reading "Byrne 56" is sewn in the collar. New York sewn to front and number 23 sewn to reverse in navy blue felt, though both have been restored and are not original to the jersey. Heavy wear shown with a small area of reddish staining on the reverse. Final Grade: MEARS A6 with a 4 point deduction for the restored "New York" & number 23 on reverse. (02D0531)
