A line of B'nai B'rith Award winners, including baseball great Jackie Robinson (second from left) and female golfing legend Shelley Mann (third from right), proudly display their new hardware in this vintage photograph. Reverse includes: Affixed cutline, 1956 and 1957 date stamps and a Seattle Times hologram.

The Seattle Times originated as the Seattle Press-Times, a four page newspaper founded in 1891 with a daily circulation of 3,500, which Main’es teacher and attorney Alden J. Blethen bought in 1896. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
