This hickory signature model H85 was one of 9 bats sent on 3-4-1954 and 6-24-1954. Bragan was best known for his stint with the Brooklyn Dodgers (1943-48) but this bat was shipped to him while he was a member of the Hollywood Stars of the PCL (1953-55). Coming out of retirement to manage the independent Central League Fort Worth Cats for one game at the age of 87 , he became the oldest manager in professional baseball. Always known for his sense of humor and an umpire-baiter, Bragan was ejected in the third inning of his "comeback", thus becoming the oldest person in any capacity to be ejected from a professional baseball.
