The St. Louis Browns of 1951 were noteworthy for two reasons. The team rostered baseball's only midget (Eddie Gaedel for one at-bat) and also included Satchel Paige. Lets not even talk about their 52-102 record.

Although Gaedel did not sign this ball, the bulk of the '51 Browns penned their names. Those who signed in black ink include: Fred Sanford, Cliff Mapes, Bob Mahoney, Zack Taylor, Hank Arft, Ken Wood, Bill Jennings, Matt Batts, Ned Garver, Duane Pillette, Paige, Al Widmar, Jim Suchecki, Jim Delsing and more. The Paige penning is one of the better signatures on this ball.
