1951 Gordon Goldsberry Chicago White Sox Game Worn Road Jersey (MEARS LOA)

Offered is a Chicago White Sox road jersey dating to Gordon Goldsberry's 1951 season with the team. MacGregor Goldsmith size 42 tag sewn in collar with a strip reading "Goldsberry 25" while a Set 2 1951 flag tag is sewn inside the tail. Number 25 is sewn to the reverse of the jersey while "Chicago" has been removed from the front of the jersey and replaced with a felt logo which appears to read "WR", likely for the White Sox Class D Wisconsin State League affiliate in Wisconsin Rapids. American League Golden Anniversary patch has also been removed from the left sleeve with the original stitch outline still visible. Moderate wear shown. (84L0192)
