Photos measure 8" x 12" to 10" x 14". This Milwaukee Braves are the focus of this amazing collection of photos. The images range from the 1958 World Series to a dinner honoring Donald Davidson. Featured in this incredible stock are images of Lew Burdette crossing home plate after hitting a three run home run during the second World Series game in 1958, Mike Goliat sliding back to first before getting tagged by Johnny Mize, and Warren Spahn on the mound during the 1963 season.

On the Reverse: Niels Lauritzen photographer's stamp, affixed newspaper clippings, affixed descriptions, typed descriptions, hand written descriptions, editor's markings, dated stamps, Sporting News Collection hologram. (01888)

With over a million images found in the complete archives of "The Sporting News Collection Archives", there were only a few hundred First Generation Jumbo Oversized images that were included in the find. Each image is unique, as there were no duplicate images of any subject. Unique in nature, each photograph is one of a kind! Matchless in quality, the color, contrast, tone and depths of the black and white media are magnified in the oversized format. Great images became phenomenal in appearance with this Jumbo sized format.

Unlike standard wire photos, these images were hand developed by the photographer and sent to The Sporting News magazine. Therefore, the result is an actual first generation photographer's print - again, not to be confused with the more commonly found wire photo image. This is the first major collection of exclusive first generation Jumbo Photos to enter the market.
