Offered are a pair of home uniform pants donned by Chicago White Sox skipper Jimmy Dykes during his tenure as the club's manager in 1946, though he would be relieved of his post by Ted Lyons following a 10-20 start to the season. Pants feature a period appropriate MacGregor Goldsmith size 38 manufacturer's tag while felt swatches reading "Dykes '46" and "25" to indicate the inseam are sewn in the waistband, with the "Dykes '46" swatch coming slightly unstitched on the left side. Also included are a pair of Chicago White Sox stirrups from the same general time period, though no exact player/year attribution can be made due to lack of identifiers. (60N0159)
