Comments: Killer hat that dates to the era of the 1946 American League Championship and the only World Series ever played in by Ted Williams. Ferris only played for the Red Sox from 1945-50 and the style of "B" appears to be different from 1948-50 (bottom of B appear thicker in images) which narrows the era of this hat to three possible seasons. It also has the very desirable stitched in player name which is the most desirable of all game caps. In 1946, he went 25-6 to help the Red Sox win the American League pennant. Ferris started two games for the Sox in the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, winning one of them, but the Sox lost the series 4-3, Ferris getting a no-decision in the deciding game.
