Offered is a Spalding Official National League Ford Frick baseball which was used during the Chicago Cubs 8-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on July 2, 1944 at Wrigley Field. "July 2, 1944 Cubs 8 Phillies 1 5 Hits" handwritten on side panel highlighting the work of Cubs hurler Bob Chipman, who allowed only 5 hits during a complete game victory. Ball has been lacquered.
