Offered is an AJ Reach Official American League William Harridge baseball which was used during Game 1 of the 1943 World Series, a 4-2 victory for the New York Yankees over the St. Louis Cardinals on October 5 at Yankee Stadium. Period signatures are present from umpires Ed Rommel, George Pipgras, Joe Rue, Beans Reardon, Jock Conlan and Bill Stewart while a more contemporary signature from Hall of Fame Cardinals slugger Stan Musial is also present. "Yankee Stadium Oct 5, 1943" & "World Series Umpires" hand written on baseball. (74B0018)
