Mort Cooper distinguished career included two World Series wins, four All-Star appearances and a 1942 MVP award.
This very Cardinals cap accompanied Cooper to the mound during his career. Identification is secured with "13" embroidered on the headband which has pulled apart in spots. The inside has some moderate fabric pulling. A Rawlings manufacturer's tag appears on the inside as well.
Cooper wore "13" from 1941-45. The interlocking team insignia and brim are larger, found in Cardinals caps after the war.
