Offered is a Chicago Bears sweater dating to Ray Bray's tenure with the team circa the 1940's. May & Halas tag sewn in collar with size 46 & Dry Clean Only tags while "Bears" is sewn to the reverse of the sweater in orange felt along with number 8 sewn to the left sleeve. Sweater is accompanied by a notarized letter signed by Ray Bray Jr. indicating that the sweater has been in his possession since it was given to him by his father plus a photo of Bray in the sweater. Bray wore number 82 with the Bears & the numeral 2 is visible in the accompanying photo leading us to believe it likely fell off the sweater at some point in the intervening years. Heavy wear shown with a few small fabric holes present. (89R0273)
