This first time Batman had the sidekick of Robin is chronicled in Detective Comics #38, featuring the origin and first appearance of the Boy Wonder. The story was provided by Bill Finger and Jerry Siegel, Fred Guardineer and Jack Lehti provided art, and Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson provided the cover and art. CGC Universal Grade gave this issue a 1.5 as a result of tape on the cover, moderate amounts of color touch on the cover, and the cover is detached.
