True sports fans couldn't wait for The Sporting News to arrive on a weekly basis during the early half of the 1900s. Fans could find out batting averages, standings and read up on their favorite player each week.

Offered are approximately 122 issues from 1939. Each shows wear, averaging GD to VG in our estimation. Check out early photos of Joe DiMaggio and others as baseball seems to be the common theme. A few of the issues are in reduced state, but the majority fall within our estimation.
